8vo, pp. 103. Contemp. blind boards. A popular work, aimed at the general public and therefore nowadays hard to find. Peter Christian Abildgaard (1740 � 1801) was a veterinarian professor at Copenhagen and member of the Royal Medical Society. Translated after the 2nd edition by Carl Frants Schr�der; original 1st edition 1771. The greater part of the work (pp. 5 - 63) is devoted to diseases of the horse (fevers, colics, cough, diarrhea, dislocations, footulcers caused by driven nails, eye, urinary disease &c). The other sections are devoted to diseases of cattle, sheep and pigs. Engraved title vignette by H. Friedrich. A few small stains, very slightly browned, and spine slightly damaged, but a very good copy of an extremely rare work.
