Engraved title-page. ¶ Joannes Paludanus (Jean van den Broeck): 1565 - 1630. He was professor at the Louvain University. The "Vindiciae" provides the "accurate" explanation on all issues of the H. Bible, over which there is discordance between catholics and "heretics". Hendrick (I) Aertssen: 1613 - 1658. Dedicated to Jacob Boonen, Bishop of Gand (Gent) and Archbishop (Nominato) of Malines (Mechelen). In 1622 a 2nd volume appeared.
