From the beginning we have specialized in the printing of scholarly works in the oriental and classical languages, and today have a collection of type-faces covering the ancient and modern scripts of a large part of the world. In the following pages you will find specimens of the founts, both European and Oriental, that are in current use in our printing-house". The founts are divided in several groups: Monotype Faces; Intertype faces; Founder's Type faces; Special faces of foreign languages from Arabic to Sunda and Tibetan); "Western languages (from Anglo Saxon to Turkish); Mathematical and Other symbols; Various signs. Throughout its existence, Brill has published several of these type catalogues (a.o. 1883, 1931, 1938, 1953; see also our No 20904). Excellent copy.
