Illustrated with 13 engraved plates and several engravings in the text. Third part of four volumes of the first [corrected] Dutch edition [1780-83] of Lavater's famous work. The first German edition appeared 1775/78. Translated by Joh. Wm. van Haar. The engravings by amongst others J.H. Lips, J. Hogi, J.R. Schellenberg and M. Stumpf. Joint between lower part front cover and spine slightly damaged. Text and plates fresh. A good copy in a decorated binding.
