Oblong 12mo [19 x 11,7cm]. Each quire containing 4 leaves. pp. [4], 195. Contemporary half morocco with marbled boards. Spine gilt. Illustrated with an engraved title, frontispiece, 28 engraved plates and 3 maps. Curious album with 32 engraved plates. 28 plates depicting costumes of the various nations from all over the world. According to half-title, this third edition is enlarged with 4 maps. Our copy with 3 [of 4?] maps of Europe, Asia and Africa. However we couldn't trace any copy with 4 maps. The charming plates, as originally published, are not hand-coloured. Joints a bit rubbed and upper hinge weakened but still holding. A very good copy.
